Echo Sense — Sonar Vision for Minecraft

Echo Sense is an immersive exploration mod that gives players a sonar-like "sixth sense" to detect hidden ores, hostile mobs, spawners, and structures through solid rock. Craft the Echo Wand, charge it with experience, and send out a pulse that reveals the underground world around you — complete with colored particles, spatial echo sounds, and a real-time radar HUD.

Features

Echo Wand

A craftable tool (diamond + echo shard + amethyst) that sends sonar pulses in a 32-block radius. Uses XP to charge and has a cooldown between pulses.

4 Detection Types

• Ores (green) — Iron, gold, diamond, emerald, lapis, redstone, copper, and ancient debris
• Hostile Mobs (red) — Zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, endermen, and more
• Spawners (purple) — Monster spawner blocks hidden in dungeons
• Structures (cyan) — Buried structures like mineshafts, strongholds, and temples

Visual Feedback

• Colored dust particles appear at each detected position
• Tracer lines connect from your eyes to the closest detections
• A radar HUD in the bottom-right corner shows all detections as colored dots relative to your facing direction

Spatial Echo Sounds

• Each detection type triggers a unique echo sound
• Sound volume is dampened by solid blocks between you and the detection — detections behind thick walls sound muffled and distant

Balanced Gameplay

• Requires XP to charge (1 level per charge, 3 charges max)
• 15-second cooldown between pulses
• Particles and radar fade after 5 seconds

How to Use

1. Craft the Echo Wand: place a Diamond (top), Echo Shard (middle), and Amethyst Shard (bottom) in a crafting table
2. Hold the wand and right-click to charge it (costs 1 XP level per charge)
3. Sneak + right-click to send out a sonar pulse
4. Watch the particles, listen to the echo sounds, and check the radar HUD!
