Chicken Laying Rework
Chicken Laying Rework changes how chickens produce eggs.
Instead of automatically dropping eggs on the ground, chickens now become ready to lay, and the player must right-click the chicken with an empty hand to collect the egg.
This makes egg collection more interactive while keeping the mechanic simple and vanilla-friendly.
Features
- Chickens no longer drop eggs automatically
- Chickens visually change when they are ready to lay
- Right-click a ready chicken to collect the egg
- Egg timer resets after collection
- No new items, blocks, or complex mechanics
Why?
Vanilla chickens randomly drop eggs on the ground, which often leads to eggs being lost, despawning, or scattered around farms.
This mod turns egg production into a simple interaction, making farms cleaner and more intentional while still feeling like vanilla gameplay.
Compatibility
This mod only changes chicken egg-laying behavior and should be compatible with most mods.
Mods that heavily modify chicken AI or rendering may conflict.
