Smooth Chunk Save Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Server Performance

Smooth Chunk Save Mod saves chunks continuously over time, reducing server lag and preventing lagspikes from saving too many chunks at once. Server here also applies to playing in single-player worlds, as those are running an integrated server.

Features:

• Vanilla: Server with 3 players. Chunk saving takes ~ 11% of the server tick.
• With smooth chunk saving: 0.3% of the server tick
• Depending on some varying factors this can give you up to 10% more server side performance effectively, with no downsides.

Configs:

• Set the time interval after which a chunk is saved.
• Disable the global saving of all chunks every 5 minutes.
• Only Required on server side (Integrated/Dedicated).
