MaLiLib (26.2, 1.20.1) – Library for Masa's Mods

MaLiLib is the shared library that sits under masa’s client side mods, holding the code they all need rather than adding anything you can see in the world. Inside it are the config option handling and saving, the multi key binding system, most of the screen and menu code, and a pile of small utility classes. You install it because a mod such as Litematica, MiniHUD or Tweakeroo asked for it, and on its own it changes nothing about the game.

Features:

• Holds the config option classes and their saving code, so every dependent mod reads settings the same way.
• Provides a key binding system that copes with multi key combinations rather than single keys only.
• Carries most of the screen and menu drawing code the dependent mods put on screen.
• Adds a set of shared utility classes and methods that used to be copied into each mod separately.
• Lets the dependent mods talk to each other, so they cooperate instead of each going their own way.
• Required by Item Scroller from 0.14.0, MiniHUD from 0.17.0, TellMe from 0.6.1, Tweakeroo from 0.8.0, and by every recent Litematica build.
• Builds exist for Fabric, Forge, LiteLoader, Rift and Ornithe, and the loader is written into the file name.
• The name is short for masa’s Litemod Library, from the days when the mods were LiteLoader only.

How to Use:

1. Work out which loader and Minecraft version you are on before downloading anything.
2. Pick the matching file. The name follows the pattern malilib-loader-mcversion-modversion.jar, for example malilib-fabric-1.19.2-0.13.0.jar.
3. Drop it into .minecraft/mods together with the masa mod that needed it.
4. Match the release dates. Take the newest build of every one of masa’s mods from the same date to avoid version mismatches.
5. Start the game and set the mod up from its own menu, which MaLiLib draws for it.
