I always thought that tools in minecraft were a little bland, you know, all of them reuse the exact same sprites, just with different colors. Even mechanically all of them are exactly the same, just that one deals more damage than the other, and i wanted to change that.
Then i came up with a concept for a combat/balance update where, for example - diamond tools were all about sharpness and precision, so a pickaxe has built-in nerfed silk touch and the sword applies a "bleeding" effect. Netherite tools are all about being heavy - the pickaxe breaks nearby blocks, the sword applies a stun or darkness effect. Copper tools can be charged with a lighting, meaning - the pickaxe when charged, automatically smelts ores, Etc.
And then i made sprites to go along with that concept and eventually it de-evolved into this resourcepack.
So, enjoy!
