The Shinkansen E5 series is a Japanese high-speed train operated by JR East on the Tōhoku Shinkansen and Hokkaido Shinkansen lines, capable of speeds up to 320 km/h (200 mph). Introduced in 2011, it offers advanced passenger comfort, including women's-only spaces, universal design, and a luxurious "Gran Class" seating option, and features a sleek, aerodynamic design.
