Mo' Roman Numerals

by DeltaV · on Modrinth

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Resource pack only.

⬇ Download for 1.21–1.21.7⬇ Download for 1.20.5–1.20.6⬇ Download for 1.20.3–1.20.4⬇ Download for 1.20.2
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Summary

Have you used enchantments or effects before? If you have, you'd know that they show as not Arabic Numerals (1-10), but Roman Numerals (I-X). The problem is, the enchantment limit is at a level of 10 before it switches to an ugly string of text. Say I wanted to have Sharpness 30 on my sword. Well, in Vanilla Minecraft, it'd show up like:

"Sharpness enchantment.level.30"

When it should be

"Sharpness XXX"

The more frustrating thing is that there's an easy way to fix this, but Mojang just doesn't care! This is why I made this resource pack, for the littler things.

What enchantment/effect does this resource pack cap at?

The limit for enchantment levels and potion potencies is 255. This resource pack has the complete set of potencies and enchantment levels ranging from 0 to 255. Numerals from 1 to 255 are the conventional roman numerals while 0 is N. I don't know when you'd be using level 0 enchants, but for the sake of consistency I added it.

What is the Omega version?

As of now, the Omega version for MRN supports all versions 1.21 and beyond. Unless bugs pop up, no more version-specific MRN updates will be released. There is support for numerous languages and their subtypes, but I will add even more in the future. I do not plan to backport this resource pack unless I feel like it, or there is high demand.

Thank you!

That's basically it! Reminder, this pack's only purpose is to extend the limit of Roman Numerals on enchantment/effect levels. This pack does nothing else.
