I've been getting burnt from Minecraft, and updating my projects has fallen lower on my priority list. I designed them with forward compatibility in mind, so there's a good chance the old project version will work on newer MC versions. If that doesn't work, and you really want an updated version, shoot me an email at lightningtow.games@gmail.com and I can get it updated for you.

Subtitle Warning System

No mods required!

Makes all the subtitles blank except for creepers hissing, ghasts shooting fireballs, wardens spawning, sculk shriekers shrieking, etc. In other words, this filters subtitles to provide only useful information, because they're difficult to decipher with a dozen entries for 'footsteps' and 'water flows'. Useful for people who like to play with the game muted or have trouble hearing well, and would like to use the subtitles to alert them of important noises.

This pack works on all older Minecraft versions, and works somewhat on newer versions. If you use it on an older version of Minecraft, it works perfectly because MC just ignores translation keys from newer versions. On newer versions of Minecraft, the subtitles for newly added sounds will still appear as normal.

Ensure your setting for 'Hostile Creatures' is at least 1% volume, or else Minecraft won't display the subtitle for those, including creeper hisses. You can have the master volume at 0% without any issues

Note: this pack only changes the English subtitles by default (en_us.json). To use in a different language, change the filename to the locale code as specified here
