in alpha versions of minecraft, the stairs item rendering was broken. I don't know how he broke it but it was broken. this pack recreates it! have fun. compatible with all resource packs. I think.
in the models\item folder, there exists two models: stairs_gui, and stairs_gui_rotated. stairs_gui_rotated is rotated in a different direction, because I thought the alpha stairs were rotated differently from their current item model. they're not. you can use it if you want.
