Original Shield Recipe
This is just a simple recipe data pack, nothing special.
On 14 August 2015, 15w33c a spanshot for 1.9 was released introducing the shield with this original recipe, 3 wool, 3 planks, and a iron ingot. However, on 10 September 2015, 15w37a was release changing the recipe to what it is today.
You will need 3 wool of any variant, 3 planks of any variant, and a iron ingot to make the shield.
Side Note: The game will most likely tell you that the data pack is out of data depending on the version you are choosing to play but it works just fine 1.13-1.20
