Go beyond elytra with a faster, more engaging way to travel. BetterAirports turns your decorative airports into functional hubs, allowing players to traverse your world quickly without resorting to immersion-breaking teleportation. It's the ideal solution for maintaining the vanilla adventure while offering modern convenience.
How to create an airport
- Run /airport create . Your location will be set as the center of the airport. This must be done by default by an admin.
- Register your runway by first standing at the start of the runway (Facing direction matters) and run /airport runway start. Then, stand at the end of the runway (where players will be launched into the air) and run /airport runway end.
- You may create as many runways as you wish, and the system will automatically select the one with the best angle to launch/land the player. Players will land at the end of the runway, then glide to the start of the runway.
- To fly from one airport to another, run /flight to while standing within the range of the starting airport. The range is defined in the config.yml.
Note that it is generally recommended to make sure that your airports are not too close to each other, or else the pathway for the launching/landing might be weird.
