bRcon is a drop-in replacement for Minecraft's built-in RCON with a focus on security. The default RCON sends your password in plaintext and has no concept of access control, bRcon fixes that.
Features
The normal RCON sends your password in plaintext on every connection!! (and has no per-key access control.) One leaked password means full console access. bRcon uses proper cryptographic authentication so even if traffic is intercepted, there is nothing useful to steal.

- SSH-style key authentication -- connect using .brcon key files instead of a password, just like SSH authorized keys
- HMAC-SHA256 challenge-response -- your credentials never travel over the wire, making packet sniffing and replay attacks useless
- Password auth -- optionally enable password login as a fallback (disabled by default)
- Silent mode -- run commands without them appearing in the server console
- Multi-client support -- configurable connection limit
- Simple config -- up and running in under a minute
