Forward compatibility
This plugin doesn't really rely on any version-specific code. Even if the description page is not updated to implicitly say so, it will be forward-compatible with future MC versions as they come out. If you find out it's not working on your MC version, do let me know and I'll have a look (which is SUPER improbable
).
New in BukkitOpFix, version 1.5
Support for the ops.json file, located in your server's root folder was added. This allows for setting different permission levels for each player individually by editing this file and changing the "level" value where needed.
Please note that this will now take precedence if a player is found in this file and the global value saved in server.properties file will be ignored in such case.
What is this?
Ever since Bukkit's inception, the op-permission-level configuration value in server.properties file never seemed to work. For more info about how it should work, please follow this link.
With this plug-in, you can finally set your op-permission-level value for OPs and even add/remove which commands should your OPs have access to in a config file of this plug-in and Spigot will adhere to these rules.
Please note: the default config file disallows use of ALL additional vanilla OP commands except for ones that should be allowed according to the Wiki link above. For example, "/xp", "/achievement" and others will not work for OP permission levels below 4. You can, however still adjust this config to suit your per-level permissions needs.
NO LONGER MAINTAINED
As of 5/10/2021, ZathrusWriter no longer participates in making plugins for Minecraft / Spigot. Therefore, this plugin's will not receive updates from its original author, although its functionality is as version-agnostic as possible, making it work on probably all server versions untill a serious breaking update.
