Have a lacking combat experience on your server?
Are users combat logging or camping new players at spawn?
Here's the solution!

Please read if you plan on installing the resource.

PhantomCombat is currently undergoing a complete rewrite, which will transform the plugin into a premium-quality plugin!
-
I am currently taking a break from plugin development and support. All-time low of motivation to develop resources, and studies are piling day by day. No ETA of when I will be back - that is even if I come back to it. I'll definitely notify everyone once my break ends.
-
I would not recommend using the current version of PhantomCombat on production servers simply because it isn't in its ' RELEASE ' form. Although the version has ' SNAPSHOT ' attached to it, for some reason this plugin has made its way onto production servers. *shrug*

Besides, you can always click watch resource if you are interested in a possible update

Thanks to BGHD for making this!
♦ Plugin OverviewPhantomCombat is a Spigot plugin designed to enhance the combat experience you give to your users. It contains a bunch of features you might find useful, and if not, the extensive configuration allows you to disable them. Please note that PhantomCombat is only compatible with 1.15.x, older versions will not be supported.
♦ Enhance your PvE!
When paired with my other free plugin, LevelledMobs, your server will have PvP and PvE covered splendidly.
It makes mobs actually something you need to watch out for, rather than run away and have a happy day.
Check the resource out if it's something you'd be interested in. It's my most downloaded plugin so far.
♦ Here are some cool metrics!
Thanks to users who enable bStats, PhantomCombat has got some statistics you might want to check out.
♦ Configurable
I've spent a lot of time on making sure the config files are easy and extensive for PhantomCombat. There are plenty of comments to guide you around and it's laid out pretty nice.
Thanks to its file management library, the files update automatically as you save them! No fuss about reloading the config manually. And, the files load extremely fast. Don't worry about an outdated config, you're informed when you're not on the latest file version!
♦ Combat Mode
You're versing another player in a heated sword battle - then, just as they're one hit away from falling to your sword, they leave the server. This is known as 'combat logging'. PhantomCombat has a Combat Mode feature, which is engaged when you enter a fight or take generic damage. It runs expires after a certain timer. If you leave during combat mode, you get killed instantly, for your opponents to loot you. Status can be displayed in the action bar, chat and/or boss bar.
Combat Mode can be configured to only happen in certain gamemodes and worlds, and play sounds depending on its status.

♦ Grace Period
A new player joins, only to be dealt with a full-diamond spawn camper after running away from spawn. PhantomCombat adds Grace Period, where newbies can defend themselves against other players' attacks for a set amount of time.

On grace period start:
On attacking a player under grace period:
On attack whilst in grace period (breaks the grace period):
On force start grace period:
♦ Death Coordinates
You went exploring, and a creeper sneaks up on you - your bed is many blocks away and you have no idea where you died. Not to worry, the command /deathcoords tells you the location and world of where you last died, so you know exactly where your items are laying!
You can give a permission to users to view other players' last death locations too.

♦ PvP Stats
Want to view your or another players' PvP stats? Want no longer - PhantomCombat's stats system shows players' Kills, Deaths, Kill/Death Ratio (KDR), Current Killstreak and Highest Killstreak.
Spoiler: Images: Stats
♦ PvP Effects
- Armor hit sounds, with a configurable sound.
- Blood, with configurable options to disable for certain damage causes (such as zombies burning)
Spoiler: Image: Blood
♦ PvP Settings
You can disable the 1.9 hit delay! Now you can move to the latest version without having the combat update's PvP delay. Leave that 5 year old version full of bugs and exploits in the dust.
♦ PvP Toggle
If enabled in the settings file, your users can toggle their PvP!
Screenshots will come at a later date.

♦ Other Information
You might want to know that this plugin:
- is open source on GitHub, feel free to browse or contribute.
- has a toggle-able update checker. you'll know when the latest update gets shipped.
- uses the LightningStorage library to manage its files.
- uses bStats to collect anonymous metrics. it can be disabled through the bStats config under /plugins/bStats/. metrics keep me motivated to keep pumping releases, and are extremely lightweight on your server - i'd be happy if you left them on!
- lokka30: plugin author and developer
- JavaFactory: LightningStorage library. massive thanks to them.
- Bug reporters and feature requesters: informing me of ways to improve the plugin.
