⬇ DownloadI am a big fan of the Lord of the Rings books and movies, and I enjoy recreating those great monuments and castles in Minecraft. I built Helm's Deep and Isengard without using "cheats", but they looked pretty mediocre. So, for both your and my benefit, I decided to not to mine all of my materials the fair way. It's not completely done yet, but since I won't have the opportunity to work on it for a very long time, I wanted to get this save file out to you before I left.
Scale: Walls aren't to scale with the tower. The walls should be tiny compared to the tower, but if I did that then there would be no fortress at all due to the max height being so low, so I made the fortress about 1:1 but the tower 1:8 (very roughly).
Also, to make the fortress more interesting I added shops and things that a normal fortress would have. The alternative was to have a lot of empty space, which looks horrible.
It's on arnoritter1991's Minas Tirith map (give him a thumbs up!) so you can compare his Minas Tirith with my Barad-dur. A kind of juxtaposition of good and evil, if you will. It also provides some scenery so you don't have to look at empty wasteland.
True to my word, I have uploaded the save file ahead of schedule. Thank you guys for being supportive!
