Most of the penguins can be tamed and sheared for their feathers. Penguin skins and feathers can then be used to craft:
- Penguin Armor, with special characteristics such as faster swimming, extended air supply underwater, and reduced fall damage
- Penguin Weapons, including a flame penguin repeater that shoots arrows on automatic
- Penguin Tools, such as a more efficient fishing rod
