For the most part, this is fine. Some more artistic texture/resource packs use the ores as different things. I think it's only right to allow people to use these blocks.
Creating recipes for the injectors make the mod balanced because it takes over or exactly the maximum amount of material that can be mined using a Fortune III Pickaxe.
