Horse Inspector
What is it?
Horse Inspector is a simple Spigot/Craftbukkit mod which allows players to acquire data about horses' speed, hp, jump height, and tamer without having to build in-game contraptions to test them. Also works on Donkeys, Mules, Llamas, and Skeleton Horses.
How to use (Players)
Hit a horse with a stick. No damage will occur, and the server will send you the horse's speed, max hp, jump height, and name of the player who tamed the horse. Your server admin might make some tweaks (such as changing the item you'll use).
How to use (Server Admins)
Download Horse_Inspector.jar from the SpigotMC resource page , or from the GitHub releases page , and drop it into your server's Plugin directory. No further configuration is necessary, but there are a few options if you wish to tweak it.
Config File
The config file can be reloaded without restarting the server by issuing the /horseinspector reload command.
show-tamer: { true | false } - The plugin will include the name of the player who tamed the horse when sending the horse's stats to the player. Set to false to disable. Default value: true.
item: name - This is the type of the item used to trigger the mod. If it is unable to find an item with the type provided, it will use the default value of stick. Examples: stick, golden_carrot, etc.
check-for-updates: { true | false } - The plugin will check to see if an update is available when the server loads, and will display a console message if so. Set to false to disable. Default value: true.
item-name: name - This is an optional setting, which may not even appear unless you insert it manually. If it is set, the item that triggers MUST match the provided name exactly. This includes color codes (e.g. §9Stick). If this setting is left blank, then the mod does not care what the name is; it will only care what the type is. By default, this option is blank/nonexistent.
Permissions
There are two permission nodes that are available. It is not necessary to configure these in order for the mod to work (it will just use the default values), but they are provided for admins to fine-tune their server.
horseinspector.use - Default: true. This permission governs whether the mod will function for that player. When this permission is false, it acts like the mod doesn't exist (i.e. hitting a horse with the configured item will simply do damage).
horseinspector.reload - Default: OPs. This permissions governs the ability to issue the /horseinspector reload command.
Version Compatibility
Minecraft 1.14+.x -- Horse Inspector 1.2.1 and beyond
Minecraft 1.13.2 -- Horse Inspector 1.0.0 thru 1.2.0
