BossBarPlus allows you to easily broadcast messages using the new 1.9 boss bar!
This plugin hasn't been updated in a while. I hope to look into it soon to fix any issues that may be found but at the moment I'm very busy.
It currently supports a boss bar on join which can be configured in the config.yml. Check the config example here for help.
This should work on a 1.8 server if you have ViaVersion installed!
Also the command /bossbar broadcast to broadcast at any time!

Commands:
/bossbar help - Show help (not much atm)
/bossbar broadcast <time> <args> <message> - Args are -c <color> and -s <style>
Permissions:
bossbarplus.admin - Allow use of the /bossbar command.
NOTE: I will improve these docs later, kinda in a rush!
1.8 is not officially supported. Only 1.9+!
