Ultra Rare Wither Skull Rates

A lightweight datapack created as a small companion addon for the popular datapack/mod WithersWrath. It makes Wither Skeleton Skulls significantly rarer so that the enhanced Wither from WithersWrath doesn't become too easy or spammable to summon.

Purpose

WithersWrath makes the Wither much more dangerous and powerful. This datapack/mod balances it by reducing skull availability, turning the Wither into a rare and meaningful boss fight again.

Drop Rate Changes

• Base drop chance (no Looting): 0.5% (5 times rarer than vanilla)
• With Looting III: ~2.0% per kill
• Average skeletons to kill for 1 skull:
  • No Looting: ~200 wither skeletons
  • Looting III: ~50 wither skeletons

Bones and coal drops are completely unaffected.

• Extremely lightweight (modifies only one loot table)
• Perfect companion for any other mod or datapack that improves the Wither
• Works standalone if you don't use WithersWrath
• Compatible with most other datapacks and mods (that they do not change the loot from wither skeletons)

Installation

As a normal Datapack (Recommended):

1. Download the .zip file.
2. Place the zip file (or extracted folder) into your world's datapacks folder.
3. Load the world or run /reload.

As Mod (.jar):

1. Download the Mod version.
2. Drop the .jar file into your mods folder.
3. Restart the game.

Recommended combination: Use this datapack/mod together with WithersWrath for the best experience.
