RealTemp is a NeoForge 1.21.1 client-side survival mod created by MrMouse that adds a realistic environmental temperature system to Minecraft. It calculates a “felt temperature” in °C every tick based on biome climate, altitude, weather, time of day, sunlight, water immersion, cave shelter, armor insulation, and seasonal changes.

The mod transforms temperature into a survival mechanic. Cold exposure gradually builds below comfortable temperatures, becoming dangerous near freezing and below, potentially causing hypothermia effects such as slowness, hunger drain, and damage. Heat exposure begins in warmer environments and can become dangerous under prolonged conditions, causing fatigue and heat-related damage.

RealTemp includes a complete four-season system with Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Seasons smoothly transition over time using biome-sensitive temperature adjustments, creating realistic climate variations across different environments. Deserts, forests, taigas, and jungles respond differently to seasonal changes, while extreme dimensions such as the Nether and End remain unaffected.

The HUD displays current temperature, season information, and optional season day counters with configurable display options. RealTemp is fully client-side and designed for immersive survival gameplay across diverse terrain including mountains, deserts, oceans, caves, and seasonal landscapes.

The mod is highly configurable through the in-game Mods Config Menu, allowing players to adjust temperature scaling, survival thresholds, environmental effects, HUD options, seasonal behavior, and overall difficulty. Seasons - spring, summer, winter at the artic, winter at 1600m plains biome
