Just Enough Recipe Book (JERB)Brings the best parts of recipe browser mods to the recipe book. |
|---|
For why?
Though this may be an unpopular opinion, I am not a recipe book hater. In concept, it's a great interface that I prefer to the bulkiness of recipe browser mods.
But in practice, it's missing a lot of necessary functionality (especially for modded playthroughs) that recipe browsers bring to the table. That's what this mod aims to fix.
Features
When used server-side:
- No More Recipe Unlocks
- Completely removes recipe book NBT and recipe unlocking.
- Still handles recipes for players on vanilla clients by treating them as all unlocked.
When used client-side, with JEI, REI, or EMI installed:
- Recipe Browser Integration
- The recipe book now populates its entries from your choice favorite recipe browser.
- Mod Support
- Recipe categories are now populated from item groups (creative tabs), which provides a more organized layout, especially for modded recipes.
- Works with most mods with recipe browser support.
- No More Browser
- Permanently hides the recipe browser interface while keeping other functionality of the mod intact.
- Generic item information (e.g. items not obtained through standard crafting) can be viewed through the recipe book in your inventory.
Alternatives
If you are just looking to remove the recipe book entirely, I recommend checking out Not Enough Recipe Book.
