If you use this plugin on your server, please message /u/amaryllis9 on reddit. I'd like to see how it works on very large (1000+ pop) servers.
This is a plugin allowing players to ignore individual strings. Players who ignore strings will simply not see chat messages with the string. This gives players a way to reduce spam for themselves without resorting to a full /ignore on a player.
Example scenario:
Player A is tired of seeing messages about a particular faction, BadDudes. Player A types "/ignorestring BadDudes"
Now, Player B and C begin typing in chat:
B: Join BadDudes!
C: How do you join BadDudes?
B: BadDudes rock!
B: Fuck yeah, BadDudes!
B: Hi, Player A!
Player A's chat only receives one message:
B: Hi, Player A!
Installation
Drag into plugin folder. Ignored strings will automatically serialize into ignorestring.data !
Usage: /ignorestring : Adds a string to the player's ignore list. /clearignoredstrings : Clears all of the player's ignored strings
Please leave any issues with the plugin in issues. Also, if you use this plugin for your server please message me via Reddit /u/Amaryllis9 - I haven't tested this with large numbers of people and I'd like to see it in action.
