Everyone knows the story. You badly want that one enchantment, and after 5 level 30 enchantments are still unsuccessful. So there you are, grinding away, wasting precious time.
But what if there was another way?
A Dark way?
The witches of the underworld have decided to allow you to deal with them for the resource that they need: Blood shards. In return, they will give you enchantment books, which you can use to enchant your equipment at an altar.
HOW TO GET BLOOD SHARDS
Kill mobs, friendly and hostile. The chance of hostiles, players, and nonhostiles dropping blood shards upon death can be configured in the config file. You can also set if they should drop at all, and how many.
WHAT TO DO WITH THEM
Summon a witch by using /de summon. From a witch, you can buy a wand of darkness, an essential for altar enchanting, or some dark enchantment books. These witches will despawn on chunk unload, but you can also shift click to remove them
USING THE ALTAR
The altar is a three-layer structure:
Then, we wait for night. When the time comes we throw whatever item we want to enchant onto the redstone block in the center of the altar.
Then, we simply click the redstone block with the wand of darkness. Some lightning will flash, and the item will be enchanted. The wand of darkness will deteriorate.
And that's it!
NOTE: Items will only enchant if these conditions are ALL true:
-There is one book in each occupied chest, and each book is in the center slot.
-It is night.
-The item must normally be able to be enchanted
-The item is normally able to obtain the enchantments you are giving it.
-You have permission to do so.
-You have a rod of darkness with at least one usage left.
If you try to enchant more than one item at once, the altar will try to enchant the one it picks at random.
COMMANDS
-/de help [page]-A generic help command to show other commands
-/de summon-Summons a witch near the player if there is room. Has cooldown configurable in the config file
-/de givedrops [player] [amount]-Admin command to give blood drops to a player
-/de darknessrod-Admin command to obtain the rod of darkness
PERMISSIONS:
Each command has a specific permission node that can be deduced by doing: de.commands.[commandName]
The summon command has an additional permission, de.bypasscooldown, which allows those with the permission to bypass the cooldown for summoning witches.
-de.witch.interact-Permission to interact with the witches
-de.altar.use-Permission to use the altar
PLEASE drop any suggestions and feedback in the comments, I appreciate it!
*Also any bugs you find, but hopefully those are kept to a minimum.

USING THE ALTAR
The altar is a three-layer structure:
Spoiler: Layers of the altar
The altar has 8 chests around it. Each one can only have
ONE book in it, and the book must be in the center slot. For example, lets say I wanted to enchant a sword with unbreaking one and sharpness two. I would use three chests: One for unbreaking, and two for sharpness. This is how a book should look in the chest:
Spoiler: Book in Chest
Then, we wait for night. When the time comes we throw whatever item we want to enchant onto the redstone block in the center of the altar.

Spoiler: Enchanted item
And that's it!
