yasui

Yasui is a lightweight performance assistant and lag removal tool.

In the early years when Minecraft still has an acceptable performance, yasui has only one simple logic to drop mob AI computing when necessary, to hold hundreds of players, thousands of mobs and full load of survival machines.

While Minecraft performance is getting worse, we added a few other features to get our server going on. You may think yasui is just another lag removal plugin, but it born to maintain the survival gaming experience, it designed and tweaked to be friendly to survival players.

• AI Suppressor - Drop AI Computing when necessary
• Redstone Suppressor - Silent redstone when necessary
• Entity Culler - Remove overload entities in loaded chunks and stop new mob spawning
• Random Tickspeed - Adjust random tickspeed
  
• Custom Command - Execute any command on demand
• Performance Counter/Profiler - A simple counter and profiler to help you find lag sources
• Regional override - Define a region to bypass specific rules

Installation

The dependencies are all libraries - it won't affect your server performance except a little bit RAM.

1. Download Yasui jar
2. Download NyaaCore and Langutils
3. Drop all the jars into your plugin folder
   
4. Restart your server

Configuration

1. Edit the operations config under yasui/operations/
   
2. Enable or disable, or edit broadcast settings under yasui/rules
   
3. /yasui reload

Commands

• /yasui chunkentities - check the most lagging chunks by entities
• /yasui chunkevents - check the most lagging chunks by events (redstone and physics)
• /yasui counter entity - list most time-consuming entities
• /yasui counter tileentity - list most time-consuming tileentity (piston/hopper)
• /yasui operation [engage|release] [operation name] [world name] - manually engage or release specific operation in specific world

Notes

Yasui is still an experimental project. Please try it, and report any bug or suggestion to make it better.

Yasui is designed to be more of a performance assistant, than a lag removal tool. We've done in this way so it tells you where to check, what is lagging, then you have clue to efficiently optimize your server/rules to gain a better performance, instead of brutally remove all the mobs and make your players complain (though it could do that with built in operations).
