Balanced Villager Trades
Balanced Villager Trades adds 295 new, survival-friendly trades across all 13 vanilla villager professions and all five career levels. Vanilla trades are preserved.
It is designed for players who want large amounts of common building and utility materials without spending hours mining or searching distant biomes. The pack expands villager trading while avoiding cheap diamond, netherite, elytra, mace, totem, and other end-game loot.

Installation
- Back up your world.
- Download
Balanced_Villager_Trades_26.2.zip. - Do not extract the ZIP.
- Place it in
.minecraft/saves/YOUR_WORLD/datapacks. - Re-enter the world or run
/reload. - Confirm that it is enabled with
/datapack list.
For multiplayer, install it only on the host or server in the active world's
datapacks folder.
Getting the dirt trade
Place a stonecutter next to an adult, unemployed villager that has never been traded with. The villager becomes a mason. Its novice offers include the guaranteed 1 emerald → 32 dirt trade.
Important information
- Made for Minecraft: Java Edition 26.2 (data pack format 107.1).
- New villagers are recommended. Trades already saved on a locked villager are
not rewritten by
/reload. - An unlocked villager can reroll novice offers when its workstation is broken and placed again before the first trade.
- Other mods or datapacks modifying the same villager trade tags or trade sets can cause conflicts.
reputation_discountis disabled for the new offers. Hero of the Village can still reduce the single-slot payment of some item exchanges.- The pack works with Fabric Loader but does not require Fabric API.
