Balanced Villager Trades

Balanced Villager Trades adds 295 new, survival-friendly trades across all 13 vanilla villager professions and all five career levels. Vanilla trades are preserved.

It is designed for players who want large amounts of common building and utility materials without spending hours mining or searching distant biomes. The pack expands villager trading while avoiding cheap diamond, netherite, elytra, mace, totem, and other end-game loot.

Highlights

Installation

  1. Back up your world.
  2. Download Balanced_Villager_Trades_26.2.zip.
  3. Do not extract the ZIP.
  4. Place it in .minecraft/saves/YOUR_WORLD/datapacks.
  5. Re-enter the world or run /reload.
  6. Confirm that it is enabled with /datapack list.

For multiplayer, install it only on the host or server in the active world's datapacks folder.

Getting the dirt trade

Place a stonecutter next to an adult, unemployed villager that has never been traded with. The villager becomes a mason. Its novice offers include the guaranteed 1 emerald → 32 dirt trade.
