Beacon Effects (Great EULA Compliant Donor Perk!)
Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.8–1.17. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
⬇ Download on SpigotLet me start off by saying,
I take absolutely no credit for this plugin. On 10/30/2016 I hired
CosmicLuck to create this plugin for my server. We agreed that it would be used exclusively for my server(s), unless I chose to make it public. This works on 1.8.x - 1.16.5+
Features:
1. Give individual OR all players online beacon effects for limited time! Players are not required to be near beacons for the effects to work.
2. If a player logs off while their beacon effect is active, the timer will continue to count down for their beacon effect. Then if they login again while it is still active, they will be given the beacon effect again.
3. Drinking milk, using a /heal command, or restarting the server will not remove the beacon effect.
4. Beacon effects stack. For example, if a player is given Haste II for 3 hours then is given Haste II again for another 4 hours. The user will have 7 hours of Haste II in total.
5. Levels can go above the default beacon values. So let's say you want to give your players jump boost 20. Well, it's possible.
How This Can Be Used:
- It really has no limits on how this could be used.
- You could use it as Crate rewards to encourage players to vote.
- Or sell beacon effects for X minutes/hours/days in the donor shop.
- Or allow players to buy these beacon effects in a GUI shop.
- Give them as rewards for reaching a certain rank, quest, job level, etc! As long as your other plugins support executing commands when players reach those ranks, quests, or job levels.
EULA Compliant Information:
- This plugin is EULA complaint as long as you give beacon effects to EVERYONE online when a player donates.
- Selling timed beacon effects to individual players in the donor shop is not EULA compliant.

There will be no updates for this plugin. However, there are no need for updates as I have thoroughly tested the plugin and used it for years and have not come across any bugs.

Note: All commands can use
/beaconeffects or
/be
/be reload - Allows permitted users to reload the plugin.
/be help - Shows a list of commands for the plugin.
/be list - Allows permitted users to see which beacon effects are currently active.
/be enable <type> <level> <duration> [Player or nothing]
/be disable <type> <duration> [Player or nothing]
/be reload - Allows permitted users to reload the plugin.
/be help - Shows a list of commands for the plugin.
/be list - Allows permitted users to see which beacon effects are currently active.
/be enable <type> <level> <duration> [Player or nothing]
Spoiler: Details & Examples
- Allows permitted users to enable a specific beacon effect.
- Duration example: d# or h#m# or d#h#m# any combo of the three (d = days, h = hours, m = minutes). The letter must be stated before the number.
- Programmers have things start with 0 instead of 1. So if you want to enable Haste 1, you would use 0 instead of 1.
- Possible Beacon Effect Types: haste, jumpboost, speed, regeneration, resistance, strength.
- Don't include a username if you want it to be given to everyone online.
- /be enable haste 0 m5 pinkpig3777
- /be enable jumpboost 3 h1 John322
- /be enable resistance 1 d2
/be disable <type> <duration> [Player or nothing]
Spoiler: Details & Examples
- Allows permitted users to disable a specific beacon effect.
- Supports taking off a certain length of time from a beacon effect. For example if the user has 3 hours remaining and you disable "h1" for the time, then the player would have 2 hours remaining.
- You are NOT required to enter the exact time to disable it. If the player has 30 minutes remaining, entering "h1" for the time would remove the effect completely.
- Duration Example: d# or h#m# or d#h#m# or any combo of the 3.
- Examples:
- /be disable haste m10 pinkpig3777
- This would remove 10 minutes from pinkpig3777's current haste effect. So if their effect had 10 minutes or less remaining, it would completely remove the effect. If their effect had more than 10 minutes remaining, it would remove 10 minutes worth of the effect from their current time remaining.
- This would remove 5 days worth of speed from everyone online. However, it would ignore individual effects. In other words, if Speed was given to everyone online at once then 5 minutes later speed was given to a particular player, this command would only remove the speed for the effect given to everyone.
