Item Hunt
One item. One chest. Everyone at once.
Item Hunt is a drop-in race minigame: the server picks a target item, scatters every player into a fresh survival world, and the first one to get that item into the central locked chest wins on the spot. No arena building, no world setup, no config required — install the jar and start a game with one command.
How a round works
- A void lobby is generated automatically on first start; players always spawn there.
- An admin runs
/itemhunt autogame— fresh survival arena, random target item, everyone plays. (Or pick the item yourself: hold it and run/itemhunt setup.) - A delivery chest appears on a glowstone-marked platform at the centre, players scatter onto solid ground across the map, a countdown runs, then GO!
- Hunt however you like — mine it, craft it, loot it, or take it off another player. A compass always points back to the chest, and the action bar shows time left and distance.
- The chest only accepts the target item — the moment someone puts it in, they win. Instantly, and credited to the right player. Everyone gets a GG and returns to the lobby.
Why it's easy to run

/itemhunt newgameregenerates the arena with a new seed and its own world border. - Fair scatters — players land on real ground (never treetops, water, or lava), clamped inside the border.
- Grief-proof delivery point — the platform around the chest can't be built on, broken, or lava'd, and junk items are rejected from the chest.
- No strands — portals are blocked in arena worlds; dead players respawn back into the hunt with a fresh compass.
- Players can bail —
/itemhunt leaveforfeits cleanly; the round ends itself if everyone leaves. - Lightweight — no dependencies, no database, one small jar.

Configuration
config.yml controls the countdown, round time limit, arena border size, scatter radius, and the random item pool /itemhunt autogame picks from.
