Note: This plugin's development has ceased.
Duck Mode is a recreation of Duck Game in Minecraft. Duck Mode is fast and fun, and features randomly generated levels, weapons, hats, and quacking.
Features of the plugin
This plugin features:
- Custom Resource Pack with 3D Textures
- Randomly generated levels with different styles
- Weapons
- Hats
- Quacking
Rules
All players are teleported into a randomly generated arena made out of floating platforms. Their goal is to get a weapon and kill all their opponents as fast as possible without getting themselves hit. All kills are one hit, except if you wear armor (which also has a chance of not working and will break one hit.) And, most importantly, if you press the 1 key, your character quacks.
Setup
Plugins you need: WorldEdit
Set up an empty server, not one already used for something else, and put the DuckMode and WorldEdit JAR files into the plugins folder.
This plugin is only compatible with 1.8 versions of Spigot or CraftBukkit.
It is very important that the server is completely empty, otherwise DuckMode will kind of destroy your world (not really, but it's much safer to use an empty server).
If you want to run any custom commands after the game has finished, you can do that by creating a file that is called end_commands.txt in the plugins/DuckMode folder. In here, you can specify commands line-by-line that should be run.
If you want to have the names of the winner, the second place and the third place for this, use these placeholders:
@WInner, @second, @third
To Do
- Polish!
- More weapons
- More maps, more versatile map generation.
Different Languages
Want DuckMode in different languages? Just change the "language" option in the config. Current Languages:
EN [English]
DE [German]
IT [Italian]
BEEKER [Mimmimimi]
If you want your language featured, ask in Discussion.
This plugin is in Beta state, so expect bugs and missing features (and report / suggest them in the discussion thread). Please don't post bad reviews because of bugs, minor or major, or missing features, because they will be fixed and added as soon as possible.
Look into the update thread for different beta versions if yours is unplayable (which I am not hoping will be the case, I am testing all the updates as extensively as possible).
