Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.15. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
⬇ Download on SpigotNotice: HoneyPot isn't meant to be used on it's own to completely prevent griefers. In fact, we recommend you use another grief prevention plugin in conjunction with HoneyPot.
Feature List:
- Add/Remove HoneyPot Blocks (Automatically or Manually)
- Automatically Punish Griefers (and Rollback HoneyPot Blocks) (Configurable)
- Prevent Destruction of HoneyPot Blocks
- Admin Notifications For Potential Griefers
- and much more!
What is this?
HoneyPot is a grief prevention utility based on a former Bukkit plugin from 2014. The idea behind it is to automatically clean up obvious griefers.
What sets this plugin apart?
As an administrator, you have full control and can be confident that players in your server are there to contribute to your community, not destroy it.
How does it work?
Certain players, upon an assigned permission, can create HoneyPot blocks. When these blocks are destroyed in a short time, offenders are flagged. Further punishments can be configured, if desired.
How can I create HoneyPot blocks?
To create HoneyPot blocks, it's simple! Run the command /hp toggle and begin placing blocks. Automatically, all these blocks are protected.
Note: If you'd like to mute creation messages, you can do so with the command: /hp mute
How can I remove HoneyPot blocks?
This is even easier. To remove a HoneyPot block, simply destroy the block. If you don't want to do this, look into modifying existing blocks below.
How can I modify existing blocks?
If you have existing blocks, you can add HoneyPot protection to them! Pull out the HONEYCOMB item in Minecraft and right click each block you'd like to protect.
How can I configure punishment options?
For information regarding configuration, please see the "Config Options" section below.
Permissions are relatively simple!
honeypot.exempt - Allows users with this permission to destroy HoneyPot blocks.
honeypot.notify - Allows users with this permission to be notified when a user is flagged, or when they destroy HoneyPot blocks.
honeypot.toggle - Allows users to create HoneyPot blocks using the command: /honeypot toggle
honeypot.mute - Allows users to mute creation messages when they place a block with /honeypot toggle toggled.
honeypot.modify - Allows users to use the HONEYCOMB material in order to modify existing blocks HoneyBlock statuses.
Where is the configuration file?
The configuration file for HoneyPot is located in your plugins folder under the HoneyPot folder and is generated upon startup. The file is named `settings.yml`.
What do the available options do?
Each option is thoroughly explained in a comment above each line. You can find these explanations here.
Can I customize the configured ban messages, kick messages, command messages, prefix, etc. for this plugin?
Yes! All message configurations are located in the locale file that corresponds to the locale found in `settings.yml`. For most users, this will be the English `en.yml` file.
Do you support other languages?
At the moment, we only support English. If you'd like this plugin in your native language, you can either translate it yourself by accessing the `en.yml` file and changing each configured message, or contribute to the project by messaging the developer.
