BleedingMobs is a plugin from many years ago. The main developer, snowleo, stopped updating it since Minecraft version 1.6. I wanted to update the plugin for my server to make it work on 1.15, and decided to publish it as well. This version of the plugin is only tested on 1.15 and seems to work fine.
This plugin creates a blood effect, when you hit animals, monsters and other players. It generates blood particles using red dye and redstone drops, that disappear after a short time and stain the floor with red concrete blocks. Particles can't be picked up and the concrete blocks on the floor can't be broken. This plugin is highly customizable in the config.yml.
You should watch the videos to see the effects in action.
The author snowleo came to the idea for this project after watching Yogscast: "Shadow of Israphel" Part 25 and 29.
Permissions
You need the permission bleedingmobs.admin (default: op) to use the /bleedingmobs command.
You need the permission bleedingmobs.bloodstrike (default: true), if you enable permission-only in config.
If you enable the permission bleedingmobs.noblood (default: false), you will not bleed when hurt.
Disclaimer: The commands can be slightly buggy.
