Install this plugin and GimmeBalance https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/gimmebalance.80296/ .
After running them once, bonus recommended config files ("config(recommended)" and "config(hardcore)") will be generated in the corresponding plugin folders. Rename these to just "config" replacing the current config files.
Resulting rules from the recommended settings:
Natural health regeneration: disabled
Night skipping: disabled
Item drop chance on player death: -67%
Respawn timer: 30 min
Stone cannot be broken below sea level, except with Golden Pickaxe
Diamond Ore cannot be broken with any tool (only explosions)
Log drop rate during the day: -90%
Blaze Powder fuel power: -90% (two batches)
Glistering Melon Slice recipe modification: Gold Nugget -> Rose Bush
Rose Bushes are only visible during the night
Pickaxe durability:
- Wood: -95%
Armor durability:
- Iron: -50%
- Diamond: -50%
Food whitelist: (Bowl food (0.5x effectiveness) and moster meat)

- Splash Weakness: disabled (no villager curing)
Nether:
- Cannot break blocks (except quartz and glowstone)
- Planks are the only physical blocks that can be placed, but they fade after a short duration
- Zombified Piglins take revenge when any entity is attacked or a Nether Quartz is stolen
- Ghast damage taken from arrows: -90%
The End:
- Blazes spawn on crystal explosion
- Creepers/Skeletons/Wither Skeletons spawn around active crystal pillars
- Ender Dragon damage taken from Bed explosion: -80%

Run the following commands at the start of the server to display health below player names and in the player list:
