Make protections raidable
BeaconShield protects chunks. This expansion lets other players take them.
Attackers capture a territory chunk by chunk by standing their ground in it, and once every chunk has fallen, the beacon itself becomes a nexus they must break to bring the whole protection down. No instant grief, no offline
sniping — a raid is a fight your defenders can win.
How a raid works
- Raiding must be on. Flip it with /bsraid toggle, or let the automatic schedule run your raid nights for you.
- Start it. Stand inside someone else's protection and run /bsraid start. The plugin checks that enough of its members are online, then charges the start cost through Vault. You can never raid a protection you belong
to. - Freeze window. The raid hasn't begun yet. Nearby players get a clickable [Request to join] message and the leader accepts, rejects or invites. This is the only window in which the party can change.
- Capture phase. Each non-core chunk is taken by standing in it — but progress only advances while attackers outnumber the defenders inside it. Push them out and the chunk stalls, resets or decays, your choice.
- Nexus phase. Every chunk taken, the beacon is exposed. Attackers break it hit by hit. Leave it alone too long and it heals back to full.
- The protection falls. The beacon is destroyed and drops its item and everything stored inside it.
- Chunk-by-chunk capture driven by who actually holds the ground, not by who clicked first.
- The beacon as a nexus, with configurable health and regeneration.
- A real defence. If no raider stands in the protection long enough, the defenders win and keep their beacon.
- Party system. Clickable join requests, leader accept/reject, invite and kick — all inside the freeze window.
- Upgrades are neutralised during a raid, so PvP and mob spawning work again inside the base. The items stay in the beacon and come back when the raid ends.
- Online requirements. Decide whether offline bases can be raided, and how many members must be online — a percentage or an exact count.
- Raid cost through Vault, as a formula that can scale with the size of the base, its member count or how many are online.
- Automatic schedule. Raid windows per day and time, wrapping past midnight if you want.
- Directed display. Actionbar, bossbar or chat — raiders and defenders each see their own text, and every line is configurable.
- Raids survive restarts and crashes, flushed to disk every minute.
- Fully configurable messages, colors and clickable buttons.
- /bsraid — show the help list.
- /bsraid start — start a raid on the protection you stand in.
- /bsraid request [raid] — ask the leader to let you join.
- /bsraid accept|reject <player> — leader: answer a join request.
- /bsraid invite|kick <player> — leader: add or remove a party member.
- /bsraid leave — leave your raid. If the leader leaves, the raid is cancelled.
- /bsraid cancel — leader or admin: cancel the raid.
- /bsraid status — global raiding state, or full detail of the raid you're standing in.
- /bsraid toggle [on|off] — enable or disable raiding globally.
- /bsraid force — instantly capture every chunk and expose the nexus.
- /bsraid reload — reload the configuration.
- beaconshield.raid.start — start a raid. Default: everyone
- beaconshield.raid.join — request to join a raid and leave it. Default: everyone
- beaconshield.raid.admin — toggle raiding, force/cancel raids, reload. Default: OP
Installation
- Install BeaconShield first.
- Drop BeaconShield-RaidExpansion.jar into your plugins folder.
- Restart the server.
The expansion keeps its files inside the core's folder, under plugins/BeaconShield/expansions/BeaconShield-RaidExpansion/.
Raiding starts disabled. Turn it on with /bsraid toggle on, or configure the schedule.
Developers
The expansion fires ChunkCapturedEvent and ProtectionRaidedEvent, and is built entirely on BeaconShield's public hooks — setUpgradeSuppressor, setProtectionBypass and
setBeaconInteractionGuard.
