The Sky Lantern plugin adds a new craftable item to the game, the sky lantern. A sky lantern can be crafted with 5 paper and 1 torch and can be set off by placing the sky lantern or right clicking into the air.
Once a sky lantern has been set off it will continue to rise up into the sky and will be gone forever... unless you accidentally let it off indoors!!!
Make sure to use shaders for best results!

The sky lantern plugin is now standalone and no longer requires my core plugin to function
There are now also more types of sky lanterns, crafted instead with a soul torch, redstone torch or copper torch.
The Soul Sky Lantern
Don't just release a regular Sky Lantern when you could also be releasing a Soul! The sould lantern will slowly try to follow the player that set it free, whilst continuing to rise up in the sky.

The Target Sky Lantern
The most requested feature of Sky Lanterns was to shoot them down with arrows!!! Now you can have your fun... but only with this new type of Sky Lantern. The sky lanterns are smaller than the others, providing a challenge to the player. Once hit with an arrow, the sky lantern will create a firework explosion.

The Copper Sky Lantern
The copper flame heats up very quickly causing it to shoot up into the sky faster than any other sky lantern. The copper sky lantern eventually slows down to the same speed as the other sky lanterns so that it can be enjoyed for longer.

Each sky lantern creates a temporary armorstand when it is an entity, theoretically this could cause lag/lower tick speed however in testing I have not seen an issue with this.
When the server closes/the plugin is reloaded, all instances of the sky lantern entity are removed from the world.
