❓ What is Hider Plus?

Hider Plus gives server operators three powerful identity-management tools in a single lightweight plugin. Hide your nametag, vanish completely from other players, or suppress your join and leave messages — all with a single command and instant action-bar feedback.

Every feature is designed to be compatible with other plugins. Hider Plus reads whatever join/leave message a chat plugin (EssentialsX, CMI, etc.) has already set and mutates only the player-name portion — it never overwrites another plugin's formatting.


✨ Features

• /hidetag — Nametag Hider
  
  • Hides the nametag floating above your head from every other player.
    
  • Removes your real name from the tab list and replaces it with a randomly generated symbol string (e.g. #@$%&*!?).
    
  • Replaces your real name in chat messages and join/leave messages with that same random string.
    
  • The random name stays consistent for the duration of the session.
    
  • Instant action-bar confirmation on toggle.
    
• /vanish — Full Vanish
  
  • Makes you completely invisible to all other players via Bukkit's native hide API — no ghost, no tab entry, no name above head.
    
  • Broadcasts a fake leave message when you vanish and a fake join message when you un-vanish — seamlessly making it look like you left/returned.
    
  • If /hidetag is also active, the fake messages use your random name instead of your real one.
    
  • Works with /hidejoinleave — when that is on, no fake messages are sent either.
    
  • Players with the hiderplus.seevanished permission can still see you.
    
  • Automatically re-applied after death (respawn) and world changes.
    
  • New joiners automatically have all currently-vanished players hidden from them.
    
  • Instant action-bar confirmation on toggle.
    
• /hidejoinleave — Join/Leave Message Suppressor
  
  • Completely suppresses your join and leave messages — including the fake ones from /vanish.
    
  • Toggle on/off at any time with instant action-bar feedback.
    
  • Pairs with /vanish for a truly silent entry and exit.
    

Other-Plugin Compatibility

Join and leave events are intercepted at HIGH priority, meaning chat plugins like EssentialsX, CMI, AuthMe, DeluxeChat, and others set their custom formats first. Hider Plus then:

1. Reads the message already set by those plugins.
2. If /hidetag is active, replaces only the player-name portion with the random name — preserving the full custom format.
3. If the player is vanished or using /hidejoinleave, suppresses the message without interfering with other plugin logic.

Your existing chat/join plugins' formats are never overwritten — only mutated or silenced as needed.

Requirements

• Server: Spigot or PaperMC 1.19 – 1.21+
• Java: 17 or newer
• No dependencies — completely standalone

Installation

1. Download HiderPlus-2.0.jar from the download section.
2. Drop it into your server's plugins/ folder.
3. Restart your server (do not use /reload).
4. All three commands are immediately available to OPs.
