Make It Make Sense!

This datapack adds ideas I found on reddit and some ideas of my own. The idea is to improve the gameplay of minercaft, from simple things such as a speed boost on path blocks, or items ontop a cushion, to contrails with elytra, and redstone powered by Sulphur Cubes!

List of Features

Misc

• Entities are slightly faster on dirt paths
• Entities falling in water or lava will create splashes (this can be turned on or off in the settings)
• Items can be placed onto cushions by sneak + right click on the top, and removed by left clicking the top of the cushion
• Glistering melon slices are now edible, giving the player 2 nutrition and saturation of 4.8, as well as giving instant health 40% of the time
• Potions, splash potions, and lingering potions now stack up to 8
• Tridents now attack like spears
• Carved pumpkins now break if a falling block besides sand or gravel falls onto their head or if they are stuck by lightning
• TNT can now be thrown if the player is holding a fire charge or flint and steel in their other hand
• Fire Charges can now be thrown unless the player is holding TNT in their mainhand, which takes priority
• Carved Pumpkins will hide the entities name tag (this only works 26.2+)

Transportation

• Entities mining speed is no longer slowed if on a mount
• Happy ghasts are faster if they are in the rain, or above the clouds, this only works if the happy ghast is not in any desert or savanna biome, and the effects do stack
• Elytras can be disabled by sneaking in the air
• If a player is travelling over 16b/s they will create contrails (this can be turned on or off in the settings)
• Players wearing elytras will be boosted upwards if above a campfire
• Elytras deactivate if an entity is on fire

New Sulphur Cube Archetypes

• Anvil - Damages Entities that it lands on top of, plays anvil land sound whenever it hits a solid block
• Redstone Block - Activates nearby redstone blocks (Note: this functionality has only been coded for redstone lamps, TNT, and all of the rail types)
• Redstone Lamp - Lights up if there is a redstone block nearby or a sulphur cube with a redstone block inside
• Sponges - Soaks up water in a 3x3x3 area, and becomes a wet sponge. Wet sponges can be dried out if the sulphur cube is in the nether, or if they are above or in:
  • lava
  • lava cauldron
  • fire
  • soul fire
• Blue Ice - freezes water below it, like frost walker
• Honeycomb - Slides down the side of blocks
• Note Block - plays a note based on a timer, and adapts the instrument to the block below (Note: in the future, I plan to make it speed-based)
• Chorus Flower - has a 50% chance of teleporting if it has fallen at least 3 blocks, unless it is on a leash

Banners

• Banners can now be worn on your head
• If an entity wears an ominous banner within 32 blocks of an iron golen, they will aggro on said entity
• If an entity wears an ominous banner within 32 blocks of a villager, they will increase their prices for said entity. it is listed as "major negative", with a value of 75

Enchantments

• Blast protection protects entities from lightning stikes
• Channeling is compatible with riptide
• impaling works on any entity in water or rain
• lunge works when gliding with an elytra
• sneaking while hitting an entity with a mace with wind burst cancels the burst

Planned Features

• Wind charges will be parriable
• Banners will be able to be placed in boats, and on striders' backs. The rider will recieve the aggro from iron golems and the price increases of villagers
• Banners will be able to be placed like flags if you shift + right click on any fence or wall, unless they are waterlogged
• Banners will be able to be placed on beds to become bed sheets
• Players will be able to sit on a bed or straw bed during the day, as long as they are in a dimension with a day-night cycle
• Villagers will randomly sit on cushions
• Lunge will work when riding an mount, and depending on the mount, it will lunge them more/less (e.g, pigs will lunge further than happy ghasts
• Jukeboxes will be able to be placed inside a sulfur cube, and will be able to play music discs inside
• Shulker boxes will be able to be placed inside a sulfur cube, giving it the same properties as a chorus flower
• Cushions will be able to be placed ontop of sulfur cubes, giving mobs the ability to ride it

Known Issues

• Tridents enchanted with Riptide and Channeling can summon lightning just by meleeing the entity
• Unbreaking does not effect the damage of Flint and Steel when used to throw TNT
