Sand Sifter adds a hands-on crafting station that turns ordinary sand into useful materials and rare treasures.
Load the wooden sifter with sand, work the mesh four times, and collect whatever remains. The sand visibly shrinks with every step while particles, sounds, and on-screen feedback make the process feel physical without opening a separate menu.
Features
- Craftable wooden Sand Sifter with a custom 3D model and metal mesh
- Load and process one Sand block at a time
- Four manual sifting steps with visible progress
- Weighted rewards including Flint, Clay Balls, Bones, Iron Nuggets, and Gold Nuggets
- Small chances to uncover an Emerald or Diamond
- Sand particles, sounds, and localized progress messages
- Sneak-interact to recover unfinished sand
- Breaking a loaded sifter safely returns its sand
- Multiplayer support
- English and Russian localization
- Compatible with Vibrant Visuals
How to use
- Craft and place a Sand Sifter.
- Hold a Sand block and interact with the empty sifter to load it.
- Interact with the loaded sifter four times.
- Collect the materials that fall from the finished batch.
Sneak while interacting if you want to remove the sand before finishing.
Crafting
Craft 1 Sand Sifter using:
- 2 Oak Planks
- 1 String
- 2 Sticks
Drop chances
Each Sand block produces four independent loot rolls. Approximate chances are rounded for readability:
| Drop | Chance per roll | Chance of at least one per Sand block |
|---|---|---|
| Flint | ~26% | ~70% |
| Clay Ball | ~17% | ~53% |
| Bone | ~7% | ~25% |
| Iron Nugget | ~4% | ~13% |
| Gold Nugget | ~1% | ~5% |
| Emerald | ~0.2% | ~0.8% |
| Diamond | ~0.1% | ~0.4% |
Each individual roll has about a 45% chance to produce nothing. Because a batch contains four rolls, the chance for an entire Sand block to produce no items is approximately 4%.
Notes
- A roll can produce nothing, so some batches will be more rewarding than others.
- Sand is not consumed when loading the sifter in Creative mode.
