SilkStorage solves that problem.

SilkStorage is a lightweight Fabric mod that allows you to break supported storage blocks with a Silk Touch tool and pick them up with all of their contents preserved. Simply mine the storage block, carry it wherever you want, place it back down, and continue exactly where you left off.

The mod is designed to feel like a natural extension of vanilla Minecraft. It doesn't add new blocks, items, recipes, or complicated mechanics. Instead, it improves an everyday task while keeping gameplay balanced through the optional Silk Touch requirement.

Supported Storage Blocks

SilkStorage currently supports:

• Chest
• Trapped Chest
• Barrel

Each supported block retains its inventory when broken with Silk Touch (if enabled) and restores every item when placed again.

How It Works

Using SilkStorage couldn't be easier.

1. Fill a supported storage block with items.

When placed again, every item is restored exactly as it was before breaking the block.
