It fills your world with hireable mercenaries and brand-new magical creatures. You can find these helpers resting in local taverns and pay them to fight by your side. As they defeat enemies, they level up and become much stronger. The mod also brings strange new monsters to different biomes, making your travels more dangerous and exciting.
Features:
- Hireable Mercenaries: Pay characters to follow you, fight enemies, and protect your bases.
- Mercenaries level up and gain better combat stats as they defeat more enemies in the world.
- You can change your companion’s weapons and armor by opening their inventory screen.
- Taverns spawn naturally in Plains biomes where you can meet mercenaries and buy maps.
- Tavernkeeps sell special contracts that you need to recruit your new friends.
- Mage mercenaries can learn and use spells from other magic mods you have installed.
- Tavern buildings automatically use blocks and items from popular food and furniture mods.
Mercenary Classes:
- Mages cast spells from a distance to damage or slow down monsters.
- Archers shoot arrows to keep flying or fast enemies away from you.
- Warriors fight up close with melee weapons to protect you from harm.
- Assassins move quickly to deal high damage to single targets.
New Magical Mobs:
- Chuchu slimes absorb different types of magic when they get hit by spells.
- Fizzles look like creepers in suits, but they have a very different way of attacking you.
- Endermages teleport around the Outer End Islands casting powerful magic.
- Tim is a strange undead creature waiting deep underground in the Overworld.
How to Play:
- Search Plains biomes until you find a large wooden Tavern building.
- Talk to the Tavernkeep inside and buy a Contract.
- Use the Contract to hire a mercenary resting in the building.
- Right-click your hired companion to open their menu and give them better gear.
- Hold Shift and right-click them to switch between following you or guarding a spot.
