🌀 Deja Vu
Your world is a simulation. And it is running out of memory.
Deja Vu is a slow-burn, psychological horror mod that fundamentally changes how you experience Minecraft. There are no sudden jump scares or giant screaming monsters. Instead, the horror comes from the slow, inescapable decay of the world around you and the feeling that you are being watched by something that doesn't belong in the game.
🍂 Reality Decay (The Dissonance System)
The longer you survive and the further you explore, the more your world begins to rot. A hidden "Dissonance" system tracks the instability of your reality. As your Dissonance rises, the world glitches out:
Stage 1: The colors drain. Grass turns to dirt, and flowers warp into repeating dandelions. Stage 2: The simulation tries to save memory. High-value blocks like Ores, Ancient Debris, and End Stone degrade into cheap Cobblestone. Stage 3: Trees, structures, and Nether forests mutate into rigid, repetitive grids of Oak Planks. Stage 4: The very ground beneath you shatters into Bedrock grids, the sky turns a sickening purple, and VHS scanlines distort your vision. Multi-Dimensional: Nowhere is safe. The rot spreads into the Nether and the End, stripping away their unique blocks and replacing them with cheap Overworld copies.
🕴️ The Anomaly (Anomaly)
As your reality decays, a new, mysterious anomaly begins to manifest in your world: Anomaly. He is a silent, pitch-black silhouette with glowing white eyes and a glitched blue vortex on his chest.
The Watcher: He does not attack. He simply stands in the distance, watching you from the trees or the fog. The Gaze: If you look directly at him, a heavy heartbeat will play, and he will vanish. The Rule: Do not try to fight him. Attacking the anomaly will severely punish you, instantly skyrocketing your Dissonance and accelerating the rot of your world.
🚪 The Endless Maze (The Backrooms)
Falling into the void in the Overworld or the End no longer kills you. Instead, you fall through the floor of the simulation and wake up in the Endless Maze—an infinite, claustrophobic dimension of yellow wallpaper, humming fluorescent lights, and sputtering lightbulbs.
To escape, you must navigate the winding corridors to find the center Glitch Beacon. Beware: you are not alone in the maze.
Are you losing your mind, or is the simulation finally breaking?
