TunnelQuickSort

TunnelQuickSort deposits matching items from a player's inventory into nearby containers with one command—or one sneak-right-click.

It is designed to feel fast and effortless without treating protected storage as free inventory. Claimed containers, locked chests, and shop inventories are checked before a single item is moved.

BUILT TO RESPECT PLAYER PROPERTY

TunnelQuickSort does not include a claim-protection bypass permission.

Before using a container, TunnelQuickSort checks whether the player is allowed to interact with it. Shop containers are excluded even for server operators.

Fail-closed by default: if an installed protection or shop hook cannot make a safe decision, TunnelQuickSort denies access to that container rather than risking another player's items.



HOW SORTING WORKS

Ordinary containers

An uncategorized container must already contain a matching item. With exact matching enabled, item metadata must match too.

Categorized containers

A categorized container accepts items belonging to its category—even when the container begins empty.

Look directly at a supported container within six blocks when assigning its category.



COMMANDS

Command	Description
/deposit [radius]	Deposit matching items into nearby storage.
/sort [radius]	Alias for /deposit.
/quicksort	Open the personal settings menu.
/qs	Alias for /quicksort.
/quicksort lock [1-36]	Toggle a locked inventory slot. Without a number, locks the selected hotbar slot.
/quicksort category <type>	Assign a category to the container in view.
/quicksort category clear	Remove the viewed container's category.
/quicksort reload	Reload config.yml.

PERMISSIONS

quicksort.cooldown.bypass	OP	Ignore only the sorting cooldown.

The cooldown bypass does not bypass claims, locks, or shop detection.

INSTALLATION

1. Download tunnelquicksort-1.0.0.jar.
2. Place it in your server's plugins folder.
3. Restart the server.
4. Optionally edit plugins/TunnelQuickSort/config.yml.
5. Run /quicksort reload after configuration changes.

Requirements:

• Minecraft 1.13.2 or newer
• A Bukkit-compatible server such as Spigot, Paper, or Purpur
• The Java version required by your chosen Minecraft server

TunnelQuickSort itself uses Java 8-compatible bytecode. New Minecraft server releases may require a newer Java runtime.

PLAYER SETTINGS

Run /quicksort to open the settings menu:

• Increase or decrease personal sorting radius
• Enable or disable sound feedback
• Enable or disable visual feedback
• Toggle exact-item matching
• Lock or unlock the selected hotbar slot

Preferences are stored by UUID and survive server restarts.



IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTE

Keep respect-protection-plugins and protection.fail-closed enabled on public servers.

Because protection plugins change over time, server owners should test TunnelQuickSort with the exact claim and shop plugin versions installed on their server before granting broad access. If you find an integration mismatch, include the server version, protection-plugin version, and TunnelQuickSort console output in your report.
