Pseudo Localization Language Pack
Introduction to This Pack
Inspired by this project, I created the MCBE-Pseudo-LangPack for Bedrock Edition players.
Note: This language pack is designed exclusively for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Java Edition players, please refer here.
This language pack includes a pseudo-language that mimics Microsoft's pseudo-localization techniques and can be enabled through the game's options menu. It can:
- Test font compatibility
- Help locate string resources
- Be used mostly for fun
- And more…
Important Notice Currently, Minecraft Bedrock Edition uses an outdated version of Unifont, which may cause some characters to display incorrectly. It is normal to encounter missing characters in certain texts. However, if any UI elements become unreadable or gameplay is seriously affected, please remove the pack or report the issue via the Issues Tracker. I will do my best to optimize and fix such problems.
Introduction to Pseudo-Localization
Pseudo-localization is a software development technique used to simulate the effects of localization (multilingual adaptation) without completing full translations. It primarily tests a software's internationalization (i18n) support by simulating characteristics of target languages, such as special characters, long text strings, and character encoding issues.
For more details, refer to Microsoft's official documentation on pseudo-localization.
