Better pet armor
Mod made to enhance existing vanilla mechanics previously exclusive to creative mode around different pet armor. New mechanics are the ability to enchant…
⬇ Download on ModrinthBetter pet armor builds onto existing vanilla mechanics allowing the enchanting of different pet armors like the horse, wolf and nautilus armor on the anvil. In addition to that, it allows the player to finally equip horse armor to those pesky skeleton horses who keep dying.
List of enchants available for the horse, wolf and nautilus armor. (Only available through the anvil)
- Any Protection enchant
- Thorns
- Feather falling
- Curse of Binding
- Curse of Vanishing
- Unbreaking (Only for wolf armor, others do nothing)
To equip horse armor to a skeleton horse, the player has to be holding it while looking at the horse and equip it using right-click. To remove the armor, the player has to use sheers.
Horse armor will not show up in a skeleton horses inventory and thus can't be interacted with.
Due to how wolf armor works there are a few differences.
- Fire Protection and Blast Protection offer no additional damage reduction but their secondary effects burning time reduction and knockback reduction still work respectively
- Protection causes the wolf armor to protect the wolf even against the damage sources that usually bypass it, such as suffocation, freezing and withering
- Unbreaking increases the average effective durability by 100%, 200% and 300% on levels I, II and III, respectively. Horse and Nautilus armor don have durability and thus this enchant does nothing on them.
This mod was made by me using already existing mechanics and a godly ammount of luck, since this is my first time touching java. Inspiration to make this mod came from the ammount of skeleton horses that kept dying, which it was pissing me off.
There is no plans to update this mod as of now. No I wont make a version for any other launcher, simply because i dont know how and i dont like forge.
