PermsCraft is a modern, high-performance permissions plugin for Minecraft servers, built for admins who need more than basic group management — contextual permissions, temporary ranks, multi-server sync, and a full REST API for external tools.

Unlike plugins that bolt these features on as an afterthought, PermsCraft was designed around them from the start, while keeping the day-to-day commands simple enough that you don't need a wiki open just to create a group.

PermsCraft GUI Overview

📦 Installation Guide

Drop the PermsCraft jar into your plugins folder and restart your server. On first boot, run /pc setup from console to bootstrap your first admin. PermsCraft works out of the box with the built-in storage, but supports MySQL, SQLite, and Redis network sync if you're running a proxy network — configure this in config.yml before your first restart if you plan to use it.

Not sure if it installed correctly? Run /pc info in-game or console — it'll print your active storage backend, loaded contexts, and plugin version.

Migrating from another plugin? Use /pc migrate <plugin> to import your existing groups, users, and permissions automatically.

Compatibility

PermsCraft supports Paper, Spigot, Purpur, and Folia on Minecraft 1.21.x. Softdepends on Vault and PlaceholderAPI are optional — the plugin runs fine without them, but enabling them unlocks economy-based contexts and placeholders respectively.

🧩 Features

🔧 Configuration

Most servers won't need to touch config.yml beyond picking a storage backend. Context calculators (world, gamemode, time of day, playtime, economy) can be toggled individually if you only want a subset active.

🐛 How to Report Issues

Please use the issue tracker linked at the top of the page to report bugs. Include your server version, other installed plugins, and relevant console errors or logs — this makes it much faster to track down what's going on.

Note: PermsCraft is actively developed. Some REST API endpoints are still in beta — check the wiki for current stability status before relying on them in production.
