📷 Photo & Newspaper Mod

Take real screenshots in-game, print them, hang them on walls, turn them into wanted posters - and read it all back in an automatically published weekly server newspaper.

Built for multiplayer: photos are stored on the server and synced to every player who looks at them.

The Camera

Craft a camera and right-click to snap exactly what you're looking at — no HUD, no hand in the shot, with a satisfying shutter flash. Developing a photo costs 1 paper (free in creative).

Photos

• Render as polaroid-style cards showing the actual captured image — in your inventory, in your hand, and hung in item frames
• Right-click to view full-screen with the photographer's name and the day taken
• Print copies: photo + paper in a crafting grid (each paper = one extra copy)

Posters

Craft a blank poster, right-click to edit:

• Three styles: WANTED poster, Advertisement, and Plain
• Attach any photo from your inventory
• Add a title and subtitle (text auto-fits and wraps)
• Hangs poster-sized in item frames

Perfect for bounty boards, tournament champions, and shop ads.

Newspapers

• Write multi-page newspapers: headline, story, and an optional photo per page
• Sign & Publish locks the paper like a written book, with your name and date on the masthead
• Print copies with newspaper + paper in a crafting grid

🗞️ The Weekly Times (automatic!)

Every 7 in-game days the server publishes a newspaper automatically and delivers a copy to every online player:

• Player deaths are reported automatically ("Obituaries & Incidents")
• Anyone can file a story: /news report <text>
• Ops and command blocks can file categorized stories for server events: /news report-as golf Steve wins the Sunday Open with a hole-in-one! (sections: golf, gambling, rare catches, events, community news)
• Ops: /news list, /news clear, /news publish [title] to run the presses early

FAQ

Where are photos stored? As PNGs in <world>/cameramod_photos/ - they survive restarts and are included in world backups.

Does it work on servers? Yes, that's the whole point! Both server and clients need the mod installed.

Can I use it in a modpack? Yes - MIT licensed.
