ADQ Tweaks

ADQ Tweaks is a NeoForge 1.21.1 addon for Aeronautics Delivery Quests (ADQ / TNM Quests).

It keeps ADQ’s quest board, cargo schematics, rewards, saved quests, cooldowns, compasses, and Sable-based cargo gameplay, while replacing unsafe quest generation and adding cargo, delivery, PvP, visibility, and board improvements.

Lagless quest generation

ADQ Tweaks intercepts both public ADQ/TNM quest-generation entry points before ADQ’s native generator runs. This includes automatic quest generation and ADQ/TNM UI or command paths that call the upstream generator.

Native ADQ/TNM generation is cancelled and routed through ADQ Tweaks instead.

The lagless generator:

This means a failed route search gives a safe skip message instead of forcing distant chunk generation and causing major TPS loss or an integrated-server freeze.

ADQ configuration compatibility

ADQ Tweaks respects ADQ’s normal configuration and quest data. Server owners can continue configuring ADQ through:

config/aeronautics_delivery_quests.toml

The addon honors:

Quest location modes

ADQ location mode ADQ Tweaks behavior
VILLAGE Only uses structures in ADQ’s registered Minecraft village tag.
ANY_STRUCTURE Uses eligible surface structures while excluding known underground, underwater, Nether, and End destinations.
RANDOM Uses safe dry-land positions in already loaded chunks without generating terrain.

Structure endpoint caches are separated by ADQ location mode. Changing from ANY_STRUCTURE to VILLAGE, for example, cannot reuse old generic structure endpoints.

Surface-safe objectives and delivery points

ADQ Tweaks improves endpoint placement for terrain-heavy modpacks.

Quest board improvements

Large custom reward lists can make the upstream quest board overlap and become unreadable.

ADQ Tweaks changes the board layout so contracts are shown one per page, keeping large reward lists readable.

The addon also resynchronizes the quest board after generation so newly created contracts reliably appear.

Cargo reliability and reward integrity

ADQ Tweaks adds several protections and recovery improvements around Sable cargo sublevels.

Optional cargo PvP mode

Cargo PvP is disabled by default and can be enabled in:

config/adq_tweaks-common.toml

When enabled:

Commands

Configuration

ADQ Tweaks configuration is generated at:

config/adq_tweaks-common.toml

Important options include:

Installation

  1. Install ADQ Tweaks alongside Aeronautics Delivery Quests.
  2. Install it on both the server and every client using ADQ.
  3. Keep ADQ installed; ADQ Tweaks is an addon, not a replacement for ADQ’s content or UI.
  4. Restart after adding or updating the mod.
  5. Configure ADQ normally in aeronautics_delivery_quests.toml.
  6. Configure addon-specific options in adq_tweaks-common.toml.

Notes

ADQ Tweaks intentionally prefers a safe skipped generation request over forced terrain generation. Explore or pre-generate the intended region before requesting structure-based quests.

Debug contracts are only for testing and are separate from normal generated contracts.

Sable treats assembled cargo as a physics sublevel. Blocks merged into cargo, including ropes, stickers, and connectors, can still be removed when that sublevel is recalled. ADQ Tweaks does not attempt unsafe block-entity refunds because that could duplicate inventories or damage player contraptions.

ADQ Tweaks is an independent MIT-licensed addon. It does not bundle, modify, or redistribute the Aeronautics Delivery Quests jar.

Thank you to Sandemon for creating the Aeornautics Delivery Quests mod.
