SkinVault

One plugin for login + skins. Authentication and skin restoration for servers running in offline mode, including mixed online-mode / offline-mode setups.

Features

Premium auto-login

Mojang-authenticated (premium) players are logged in automatically — no password prompt. They keep their real skin.

Offline-mode password auth — native pre-world screen

Offline-mode players authenticate on a native password screen shown before the world loads. No chat commands, no GUI hacks, no fake inventory menus.

• Register: two password fields (password + confirm)
• Login: one password field
• All on-screen text is editable in config.yml

Impostor protection

If an offline-mode player tries to join with a username that belongs to a real premium account, they are kicked. Premium names stay reserved for their owners.

Sessions

Reconnecting from the same IP within a configurable window skips the password prompt entirely.

Built-in skin restoration

• Offline-mode players automatically receive the skin associated with their own username if a matching account exists.
• /skin <name> — set your skin to another account's skin.
• /skin <player> <name> — admins can set another player's skin.
• Applied skins are saved per account and re-applied on every join.

Installation

1. Drop SkinVault-<version>.jar into your server's plugins/ folder.
2. Start the server once to generate plugins/SkinVault/config.yml.
3. Edit messages and timeouts in config.yml, then restart.

Configuration

All player-facing text and the timeout / session settings live in config.yml.
