Version: 1.4.0 Minecraft: 1.21.1 Mod Loader: NeoForge Dependencies: Create, Create Aeronautics / Sable
A lightweight Create Aeronautics addon that improves ship buoyancy behavior for Sable physics contraptions.
The mod adds hull-style buoyancy for blocks based on Sable mass, but prevents entire ships from “flying” just because many light blocks are attached. Buoyancy only activates when the lower hull contacts water in the real world, and only the lower hull layers contribute meaningful lift. Upper structures add weight without adding unrealistic buoyancy.
Features:
Weak hull buoyancy for blocks with Sable mass <= 1 Weaker buoyancy for blocks with Sable mass <= 2 Blocks heavier than 2 remain ballast Buoyancy only works when the hull touches world water Lower hull layers provide lift; upper blocks mostly add weight Prevents ships from floating on a single submerged block Aeronautics propellers produce stronger thrust in water and weaker thrust in air Very low performance impact: no full ship scanning every tick This is not full fluid simulation. It is a lightweight gameplay-friendly approximation designed to make large platforms and ships behave more like actual vessels without adding heavy lag.
