PetX ✦ Ultimate RPG Wolf Companions [Revive, Classes, Skills, Leveling] 1.21.x

Let's face it: vanilla Minecraft wolves are too fragile for late-game survival. They die to lava, creepers, or accidental fall damage, making players leave them sitting at home forever.

PetX completely overhauls the wolf system. It turns your normal dogs into smart RPG companions with classes, leveling, magical skills, passive perks, and portable inventories. Plus, you never have to worry about losing them forever thanks to the Revive Center!


✦ Core Features

3 Unique Pet Classes
When you tame a wolf, you can choose one of three distinct classes for it. Each class has its own exclusive skill tree:

• Assassin: High single-target damage, stealth, and mobility (Skills: Ninja, Ravage, Dread Pack, Sonic Boom).
• Mage: Area-of-effect spells and crowd control (Skills: Meteor, Shockwave, Tornado, Soul Vortex, Flame Wave).
• Support: Player utility, farming assistance, and buffs (Skills: Harvest Aura, Magnet, Spark Flare, Wind Drift).

Leveling & Stat Progression
Your pet gains EXP by fighting mobs, fighting other players, or by using Pet EXP Bottles. As they level up (Max Level 100), they automatically gain permanent stat boosts:

• More Max Health, Attack Damage, Speed, and natural Armor.
• Major visual milestones and massive stat boosts at levels 10, 20, 50, 100, etc.

Skills & Presets System
Your pet can equip up to 3 active skills at a time. They use mana to cast spells, which slowly regenerates over time. You can save up to 10 Skill Presets to quickly swap playstyles. Want to mix things up? Use a Cross-Class Skill Scroll to let your pet learn exactly one skill from a different class!




⚔️ Pet Skills (Active Abilities)
Skills are restricted by the Pet's chosen Class. A pet can equip up to 3 skills at a time. (You can use a Cross-Class Scroll to break this rule for 1 slot!)

ASSASSIN CLASS SKILLS
Specializes in high single-target burst, stealth, and lethal mobility.

• Assassin: The signature move. The pet dashes through multiple nearby enemies in a rapid flurry of phantom strikes, finishing with a lethal bite that deals AoE splash damage!

• Ninja: The pet vanishes into air, dropping aggro and gaining invulnerability. After a brief delay, it teleports directly behind the target for a devastating surprise bite.
• Ravage: Enters a feral blood frenzy. The pet gains speed and knockback resistance. Its bites deal splash damage to surrounding enemies, apply a ticking Bleed effect, and heal both the pet and the owner (Lifesteal).

• Dread Pack: The pet howls fiercely, summoning 5 aggressive shadow wolves. These wolves gain speed buffs and actively hunt down enemies for 12 seconds before fading into ash.
• Sonic Boom: The pet charges up and fires a devastating Warden sonic boom beam that pierces armor, dealing heavy damage and knocking enemies back.

MAGE CLASS SKILLS
Specializes in massive Area-of-Effect (AoE) damage and crowd control. (Smart-targeting ensures these NEVER hurt the owner or other players' pets!)

• Meteor: Calls down a giant, burning meteor from the sky. It crashes into the target area, causing a massive explosion that deals heavy radial fire damage and sets survivors on fire.

• Tornado: Summons a roaring 3D wind vortex. Enemies caught inside are swept off their feet, trapped in a spinning spiral lift, and violently flung away when they reach the apex.

• Shockwave: The pet slams the ground, creating an expanding ripple of earth. Enemies hit by the shockwave are launched high into the air.

• Flame Wave: Launches an expanding cone of fire forward. Enemies hit are ignited and receive a "Flame Mark". This mark causes the fire to spread to other nearby enemies!

• Spectral Soul Vortex: Fires a swirling sphere of cyan Soul Flames. It pulls surrounding enemies into its center, deals continuous soul damage, and finally detonates in a massive blast that heals the pet and owner.

• Swap: A tactical utility spell. Locks onto a target and, after a brief channeling animation, swaps the physical position of the targeted enemy with the Pet's Owner.

✦ SUPPORT CLASS SKILLS
Specializes in player utility, farming assistance, and tactical crowd control.

• Harvest Aura: A farmer's best friend. Passively pulses magical energy to accelerate crop/sapling growth, and automatically harvests fully mature crops in a large radius around the pet.
• Magnet: Passively acts as a vacuum, pulling nearby dropped items and EXP orbs toward the pet and owner. Can also be manually cast for a massive 30-block burst pull.
• Spark Flare: The ultimate Creeper defense. Automatically detects nearby Creepers and fires magical sparks at them, safely defusing and igniting them into harmless, beautiful fireworks before they can blow up your base.

• Wind Drift: Fires a spiraling beam of wind up to 40 blocks away. When it hits an enemy, smoothly dragging the enemy back to the pet's feet.

️ Pet Perks (Passive Buffs)
Pets unlock up to 5 Perk Slots as they level up. Perks are physical items you buy from the Perk Shop and equip in the pet's GUI. They provide constant, passive benefits.



The Dog Whistle (Manual & Auto-Cast)
You have full control over your pet using the Dog Whistle item:

• Auto-Cast: Toggle this on and your pet will intelligently use skills on its own during fights.
• Manual Cast: Left-click with the whistle to cycle through equipped skills and command your pet to cast them exactly when you want.
• Target Locking: Double right-click an enemy to lock your pet onto them for 10 seconds. Your pet will ignore everything else and hunt them down.
• Move Commands: Right-click the ground to make your pet run to that specific spot.

Activity & Fatigue System
Pets need to stay active! If a pet stands perfectly still for too long, their "Activity" drops. Low activity applies a Slowness debuff and reduces their attack damage. They regain activity by running around and fighting mobs.

Temporary Buffs & Potions
Boost your pet temporarily before a boss fight with shop consumables:

• Energy Drink: Grants +30% Attack, +50% HP, and +20% Speed for 3 minutes.
• Double EXP Potion: 2x EXP and Pet Score for 3 minutes.
• Mana Potions: Instantly restore mana, boost regeneration, or temporarily increase max mana for heavy spell casting!

Unique & Utility Perks

• Aquatic Paws: Allows your pet to dive, breathe, and swim flawlessly underwater alongside you (grants Dolphin's Grace & Water Breathing).
• Vampire: Grants the pet 20% Lifesteal on all normal bites and skill damage.
• Phantom Fangs: Gives the pet a 40% chance on every attack to summon Evoker Fangs under the enemy, dealing bonus true damage.
• Spike (Thorns): 10% chance when the pet is hit to reflect 100% of the damage back to the attacker.
• Ore Doubler: When the owner mines ores near the pet, there is a 5% chance to drop double the ores.
• Wood Doubler: When the owner chops trees near the pet, there is a 20% chance to drop double the logs.

Tiered Stat Perks
These perks come in multiple tiers (e.g., Tier I to Tier V), allowing you to stack massive passive bonuses on your companion:

• Health Perks: Increases the pet's Maximum HP by +10% up to +40%.
• Armor Perks: Increases the pet's natural Armor rating by +10% up to +40%.
• Speed Perks: Increases the pet's movement speed by +10% up to +40%.
• Resistance Perks: Flat damage reduction against ALL incoming attacks (-10% to -40%).
• Cooldown Perks: Reduces the cooldown timers of all active skills (-10% to -40%).
• Fire & Lava Resistance: Huge damage reduction against burning and lava (-50% to -90%).
• Fall Damage Resistance: Protects your pet from high cliffs (-50% to -90%).
• Regeneration Perks: Automatically heals your pet when they are out of combat for 7 seconds (+0.5 HP/s up to +3.0 HP/s).

Death is Not the End (Revive Center)
If your pet falls in battle, its data is 100% safe. It goes straight to the Revive Center. You can bring them back to life with all their levels, skills, and items fully intact by using a Revival Elixir.

Pet Carrier
Need to travel far or cross dimensions? Throw a Pet Carrier Potion at your dogs. They will be safely captured into an inventory item (a Spawn Egg). Just right-click the ground later to summon them back with all their stats and inventory preserved!

Pet Inventory Storage
At level 10, your pet unlocks its own personal inventory GUI. The higher their level, the more slots they get (up to a massive 54 slots at max level). A perfect walking backpack!

Two-Currency Economy & Shops
The plugin features a beautifully designed GUI shop system:

• Pet Score: A special currency earned by your pet when it kills monsters. Used exclusively to buy Skills and Perks.
• Vault Money: Your server's normal economy money. Used to buy Consumables (EXP bottles, Energy Drinks, Carriers) and Cosmetics.

Daily Quests
Keep players engaged every day! Players receive 5 random daily tasks (like "Walk 500 blocks with your pet", "Let your pet kill 10 Zombies", or "Catch 10 fish"). Completing these rewards them with Pet Score.

Premium Cosmetics
Let players show off their rich companions:

• Name Colors: Animated name tags floating above the dog (Rainbow, Neon, Inferno, Matrix, Cyberpunk, etc.).
• Particle Trails: Stunning 3D particle effects that follow the dog (Fairy, Celestial Wings, Tempest Storm, Black Hole Abyss, etc.).

Anti-Grief, Land Claims & WorldGuard Flags
The plugin is built with server safety in mind:

• Smart Targeting: AoE skills (like Meteor or Shockwave) will NEVER damage the pet owner, the owner's other pets, or innocent players. It strictly filters targets based on who the pet is fighting.
• Land Claims: Soft-depends on GriefPrevention, Lands, Towny, and Residence. Players cannot use whistles or pet skills to grief other people's claimed land.
• WorldGuard Flags: We provide custom flags so you can strictly control pet behavior in regions:
  • petx-restrict-skill: Deny or allow pets to cast skills here.
  • petx-restrict-whistle: Deny or allow players to use the Dog Whistle here.
  • petx-restrict-target: Prevent pets from locking onto targets in safe zones.

In-Game Guide & Admin Panel
Don't worry about players not understanding the plugin. PetX includes a massive in-game, click-to-read Guide GUI (`/petx ins`) that explains every single feature to them clearly.
Admins also get an Admin Panel (`/petx admin`) to toggle features, enable/disable specific skills and perks, and edit config numbers directly via an Anvil GUI—no need to touch the config files manually!


✦ Commands & Permissions

/petx - Opens the main Pet menu (Shop, Revive, Quests, Active Pets).
/petx shop - Shortcut to open the shop directly.
/petx ins - Opens the in-game Guide/Instructions.
/petx whistle-sound - Toggles the whistle sound for yourself.
/petx release <name> - Releases a pet into the wild permanently.

Admin Commands (Requires OP or `petx.admin`):
/petx admin - Opens the Admin GUI configuration panel.
/petx give <player> <item> [amount] - Give shop items or skill books.
/petx grantcosmetic <player> <name|particle> <id|all> - Give free cosmetics.
/petx setlevel <level> - Force set your active pets' level.
/petx addexp <amount> - Give raw EXP to your pets.
/petx addscore <amount> - Add Pet Score to your account.
/petx reload - Reloads the config.yml.

Pet Limit Permissions:
Players default to 1 pet. Give them `petx.limit.2`, `petx.limit.3`, `petx.limit.5`, or `petx.limit.10` to allow them to own multiple dogs at once!

PetX supports PlaceholderAPI out of the box!

• %petx_score% - Shows the player's current Pet Score balance.
• %petx_price_<id>% - Shows the config price of a specific shop item, skill, or perk.
