SwordHitbox

Show entity hitboxes while holding a sword — a lightweight, client-side PvP visual aid, fully customizable.

When you hold any sword (vanilla, modded, or component-based — anything in the #minecraft:swords tag), SwordHitbox draws the vanilla-style hitboxes of nearby players: the interpolated bounding box, the eye-level box, and the look-direction line. It is purely visual — no gameplay changes, not a reach hack — so it works on every server.

Features

• Faithful vanilla hitbox rendering (interpolated — sticks to entities in motion)
• Per-element customization via an in-game config menu:
  • Behavior: toggle hitboxes, eye box, look vector, "players only", target highlight
  • Colors: ARGB color pickers for the box, eye box, look line, and target
  • Line: line width and display radius
• Players only by default (like Mace / Spear Hitbox) — toggle to show all mobs
• Optional target highlight: the entity under your crosshair turns red (off by default)

Config

Open it via ModMenu (Fabric) or the Config button in NeoForge's mod list (Cloth Config powers the menu). Settings are saved to config/swordhitbox.json.

Privacy / telemetry

SwordHitbox sends anonymous usage telemetry (mod loaded, MC version, loader) to help improve the mod. No personal data is collected. You can opt out anytime via the Telemetry toggle in the config menu, or by setting "telemetry": false in the config file.
